Stretton’s village pub The Plough Inn is very much the heart and soul of our village. It’s an independent freehouse and all us villagers are very proud of our characterful local. The Plough is a 17th Century village inn boasting a large inglenook fireplace, with beams, flagstones and saltbox. In winter the Sunday roast is cooked on a spit over the fire.
Under new ownership! Steve and Mandy Aubrey welcome you to the Plough Inn.
Their new head chef is Christophe Le Saint who has worked at several prestigious Cotswold pubs and restaurants.
The daily menu offers a range of homemade dishes prepared fresh to order using local produce whenever possible, including 4 exciting vegetarian dishes to choose from. There are also daily 'specials' and the chef's catch of the day (e.g. pan-fried seabass) and salad of the day (e.g. mixed smoked fish with garlic and herbs).
In the summer you can sit or dine outdoors, and there is a children's play area opposite the Inn.
The pub holds numerous CAMRA awards for their 4 Real Ales, and have an extensive wine list.
You will always receive a friendly, helpful and warm welcome from all who work there. You can contact the pub by telephone 01608 661053, or follow them on Facebook: The-Plough-Inn-Stretton-on-Fosse and check their reviews on TripAdvisor.
